Forgiving Heart

It's not easy to forgive a neighbor who trespasses against you. It's even harder when that neighbor shoots you and a bunch of your classmates. But Garrett Evans has done it. A survivor of the April 2007 Virginia Tech shootings, Evans speaks today at Johnson County Community College (12345 College Boulevard in Overland Park) about his experience. He will also offer advice on student safety. Evans, who was shot in the leg, doesn't hold a grudge against his attacker. Instead, he travels the country advocating forgiveness of those who cause harm and caution for those who remain on U.S. campuses. The time and location of Evans' appearance on campus were not final at press time. For details, e-mail info@vadomedia.com.
