Fred P. Ott's scores more funky points than any other drinking establishment on the Plaza. Decorated with quirky artifacts, this locally owned bar and grill serves up burgers and beer to casual Plazagoers until 3 a.m. seven days a week. P. Ott's (as the regulars call it) has plenty of high-top tables inside its two-floor space and a large patio that wraps around the southeast edge of the Plaza, making it good for watching traffic and soaking up the sun around happy hour. Its a favorite late-night stop for the sizable service-industry crowd in the area, so don't be surprised to see a lot of slacks, starched shirts and loose ties. Exhausted but friendly servers usually liven the place up with their big drafts of beer and wads of $1 bills.
