Armed with a sultry voice, a vintage six-string and a purring, Catwomanesque presence, Holly Golightly is the hottest British export since Earl Grey tea. But Madonna aside good looks and killer style arent the only components of musical legend, and its Golightlys way with a song that makes her such a treasure. After years of grinding it out in Europe, Golightly amassed a sizable U.S. audience on a duet with Jack White at the end of the White Stripes Elephant. She followed that with her finest full-length to date, Truly She Is None Other, which offered a showcase for the singer-songwriter-guitarists considerable charms. In concert, Golightlys torch songs are by turns sexy, angry and sad, underscored by a crack band that moves among rockabilly, blues and country with equal conviction.
