Holocaust Remembrance Concert

Metropolitan Community College-Maple Woods will honor individuals, poets and musicians who practiced their art during the tumultuous era of the Holocaust. This multi-dimensional event features performances of music written, performed or inspired during the Holocaust. Poetry written by Holocaust survivors, as well as original student artwork, also will be featured at the multi-media concert. Guest speaker Dr. Milton Katz, professor at the Kansas City Art Institute and authority on the arts of the Holocaust, will give a presentation about the visual arts produced by those interned in Terezin, a concentration camp in the Czech Republic.
Tue., April 28, 6:30 p.m., 2009
