It's Serendipity, Baby

The season of college basketball — God's game, at least around these parts — is finally upon us. And Kansas City fans get a rare treat when four powerhouses play at Sprint Center (1407 Grand) in the O'Reilly Auto Parts College Basketball Experience Classic. In the first game, defending national champion Duke faces rebuilding Marquette, allowing ESPN announcers yet another opportunity to fellate the Dukies. (Fellate the Dukies, by the way, would be a great band name.) In the second game, the nationally ranked Kansas State Wildcats face Gonzaga, the all-grown-up Cinderella from Washington state. Additional teams play on Tuesday. If you can't make it, drive by very slowly and hear ESPN's Dick Vitale yelling. Otherwise, tickets for the 6:30 p.m. twofer tipoff run $10-$500; call 800-745-3000.— Chris Rasmussen

Mon., Nov. 22, 6:30 p.m.; Tue., Nov. 23, 6:45 p.m., 2010
