The closest Kansas gets to Mardi Gras is the Legends outpost of Jazz, a Louisiana Kitchen. Much like its parent location, on 39th Street, Jazz offers live music, Abita and Dixie beer, boiled crawfish and plenty of saucy New Orleans charm to make you think youre in the French Quarter. Friendly servers bring out po'boys and raw oysters, and bartenders mix up rumrunners as fast as they can snap their suspenders at this smoothly run operation. Good for large groups, Jazz has a mezzanine level with additional dining tables and a PA for the local jazz guitarists and blues bands that pass through.
