This neighborhood standby – going strong after more than 20 years in the business – keeps regulars full and happy with an extensive menu of Middle Eastern dishes and an upstairs hookah lounge. While seated in one of the blush colored banquette seats, try one of the restaurants signature dishes: gyros, falafel, hummus. The bright downstairs dining room – with Lebanese music piped through the speakers and pictures of famous sites in Jerusalem – is worlds apart from the exposed brick walls, red lights and the sweet smell of flavored tobacco that greet you as you enter the small hookah lounge upstairs. (There’s also outdoor seating when the room gets too full.)
