What’s to be made of the fact that, as we live through what can be argued is a depression, so many musicians are gravitating toward the sounds of the 1930s? I’m not one to hazard theories on such matters. But perhaps some insight is to be found at this Davey’s show, which features five acts inspired by sounds along the bluegrass-country-ragtime continuum.
