Eating at the Johnson County outpost of the Cascone family’s North Kansas City restaurant is like eating in a bustling Italian home: Lots of lovingly prepared food and encouragement to eat more. The service is friendly and attentive, and the northern Italian dishes, especially the luscious lasagna, decadently rich fettuccine Alfredo and tart veal limonata in a citrusy butter sauce, make up for what the dining room lacks in style. — Charles Ferruzza
