It doesnt matter what tensions exist between India and Pakistan as long as the two countries cuisines co-exist happily in the dining room of the Kababesh Grill. The menu in this cozy little restaurant predominantly focuses on familiar Indian fare — tandoori-grilled meats, breads, curries and biryani dishes — but there are a handful of traditional Pakistani dishes, too, including paya (a spicy soup made from goat feet) and haleem, a sticky beef-and-lentil paste. Adventurous diners will find a lot of new culinary territory to explore here, including a variety of kabobs baked in the tandoori oven. Service is unpolished, but chef Zubir Shehs food usually shines. — Charles Ferruzza
