KC Pittie Pack, you need neither a pit bull nor pity for those who trail their canines with turd bags. "All dogs are welcome, but we are strict about our rules to ensure everyone and every dog's safety and comfort," says KCPP co-founder (and
Pitch contributor) Crystal Wiebe. Rules include one dog per walker, no face-to-face greetings for the dogs, and no retractable leashes. Today's pack walk commences at Penn Valley Park (meet up at the parking lot at 29th Street and Wyandotte), where introductions start at 9:15 a.m. and the walking begins 15 minutes later. "We're not trainers, just animal lovers interested in creating a safe space to socialize our dogs," Wiebe says. For more information, see
