After the original Kennedy’s was lost in the devastating Waldo fire of 2007, it relocated to a scrubbed-up spot a few doors down on the corner of 75th and Washington. A low wooden ceiling, garage doors that open in good weather and a jukebox that ranges from the Dropkick Murphys to Frank Sinatra to Biggie Smalls all contribute to a sometimes-defeaning noise level, so don’t expect quiet conversation in this Irish-themed bar. Based on the number of Yellowtail and Monkey Bay bottles and cans of Busch and Natural Light we’ve seen, Kennedy’s is good for drinking on the cheap. But the watchful eyes of wait staff are worth a million bucks in a bar that gets packed and stays that way until 1:30 a.m.
