Restaurant Details

It’s no surprise that UMKC students flock to this tiny Asian restaurant — few dinner entrées cost more than $6. But the family-owned Kin Lin has always had a faithful following, including well-heeled midtowners who love the place in spite of its erratic service and depressingly grim interior décor. But wait! A makeover has turned the dowdy dining room into a tidy, mirrored little jewel box with even more space with the addition of a second dining area next door. Even better news: The prices are still low! — Charles Ferruzza
