Kitty's has been making the same sandwich since 1951, a tempura-like pork tenderloin that is among the citys hidden gems. Three thin pork tenderloins are stacked between a cornmeal-dusted hamburger bun. Hot sauce, shredded lettuce and pickles round it out. Kitty's is essentially a diner counter with only six stools and a small kitchen. Hungry midtown lunchers jealously watch people leave with their tenderloins, wishing they'd been smart like you and called ahead.
