Team colors on the Broadway Bridge
Sure, the weathered Broadway Bridge could use a paint job, but do we really need to go overboard with Chiefs or Royals colors? That's one of the ideas to come from an HNTB Architects Engineers Planners study on various proposed improvements of the Broadway corridor -- that stretch of U.S. 169 leading into Broadway -- to make a better first impression for visitors traveling into the city from the airport. But what would they think when they saw the Broadway Bridge in all its garish yellow and red glory? Next thing you know, they'll want to dress up other KC landmarks, such as the Power and Light Building or the KCTV tower, in red and yellow or blue and white. --MR
