Northern Johnson County has too few places for memorable late-night dining; one exception is Greg Fuciu’s dark and comfortable Lucky Brewgrille, a combination saloon and dining room with a savvy serving staff and an appealing selection of salads, starters, sandwiches and steaks. Since opening in 2002, Lucky Brewgrille has become a neighborhood gathering place that attracts diners of all ages, shapes and sizes – though the crowd gets younger as the night gets later. The fare may not be exactly cosmopolitan, but almost everything on the menu tastes good. And you can’t help but a love a restaurant that lists all of its desserts first. — Charles Ferruzza
