MC Frontalot

MC Frontalot MC Frontalot bills himself as "the world's 579th greatest rapper," but he compensates for this unassuming ranking by earning numerous distinctions, such as "first lyricist to reference a specific G.I. Joe episode" and "MC most likely to be mistaken for Moby." Reaching out to his target demographic, Frontalot composed a theme song for the gaming- and comics-focused Web site Penny Arcade, combining the rallying cry "Nerd Ho!" with a deceptively potent club-thumper beat. Frontalot's delivery lacks fellow geek MC Paul Barman's sniveling pathos, making him less likely to awaken the latent bully inside his listeners. Though he's bling-bereft (Frontalot's destitute/I need you/To buy my CD so I can buy food) and cred-impaired ("Indier Than Thou"), Frontalot remains confident, as evidenced by his Star Trek shout-out about having "more game than Wil Wheaton." Frontalot's not a player — he just Crushers a lot.
