Mike Kelly's has character. Due largely to its Irish identity, the medium-sized pub maintains a steady army of regulars (mostly older) who belly up to the old marble bar for Guinness and whiskey. While the joint is a little rundown and the live music tends to be of the jam-band variety (there's Grateful Dead paraphernalia all over the bar), the people are cool, the food is solid and the service is above average. It's mellow and completely unpretentious -- a good place to hang out when you are down and out or simply don't want any action.
