Mayor Kay Barnes

In the middle of the 100-plus degree heat of last summer, Mayor Kay Barnes sent out a press release urging residents to stay inside, find air conditioning, and avoid strenuous labor. The release is representative of her administration: pointless, paternal, and afraid of a little heat. --JR
