MUAH-HA-HA-HA-HA!

Allhallows Eve is still a week and a half away, but you can avoid the last-minute holiday rush and get your adrenaline pumping now, as Horror Remix Presents ... Halloween. Revel in two hours of terror featuring a trash trio from 1988: Hack-O-Lantern, Night of the Demons and Hollow Gate. How bad are they? The first was released only in West Germany yet has four alternate titles; the second was also released in West Germany but only on video; and the third is the lone film credit of writer-director Ray Di Zazzo. (Apparently it was the story he was born to tell, and then, G'night, everybody!) Presided over by puppet MCs Cheesecake and Thunderclap, the campy, gory, disturbingly entertaining remix gets under way at 10 p.m. at Screenland Armour (408 Armour, 816-421-9700). Admission is free. For more information, see horrorremix.com.
