Never Forget

Overland Park's Midwest Center for Holocaust Education teaches about the genocide perpetrated by the Nazis while also applying its lessons to counter intolerance and indifference. The MCHE marks 18 years (and thanks the community for its support) with a free film series during the month of June. The series wraps up with Liberation and Aftermath in the social hall of the Jewish Community Center (5801 West 115th Street, in Overland Park, 913-327-8190). A question-and-answer session follows, with Fran Sternberg, MCHE director of university programs and adult education. The free showing begins at 7:30 p.m. and includes a light-dessert reception. Call 913-327-8196 or e-mail rsvp@mchekc.org to make a reservation. For more information, see mchekc.org.
