NOW EAR THIS

Been hearing voices lately? During the Kansas City-area Barbershop Festival, you definitely will — in rich, a cappella harmony. The festival is a fundraiser for the Oak Park High School Music Department. It spotlights the vocal talents of area chapter choruses and quartets, plus the 125-member Joint Chorus. Also taking to song: quartets High Definition, Back in Business and ListenUp! And check out this phenomenon: When four voices hit the harmonies just right, you'll swear you're hearing a fifth voice. Listen closely at 7 p.m. at Oak Park High School Auditorium (825 Northeast 79th Terrace). Admission is free, but donations are accepted. For more information, call Don Fuson at 913-897-0625.
