ug Life. Sound familiar? If you were a regular at any of
DJ Clockwerk's gigs — most notably, the popular '80s Ladies' Night at Jilly's — you would have noticed the logo emblazoned on his and his crew's all-occasion T-shirts. A skater, record spinner and screen printer, Clockwerk — real name Brian Scott — started the Nug line more or less to publicize his corner of the local subculture to potential new recruits. Now it's going worldwide. Help Scott (who recently relocated to Chicago) celebrate the launch of
Nug-Life.net with T-shirt giveaways and wax-slapping action starting at 9 p.m. at Mike's Tavern (5424 Troost). Expect to hear hip-hop and retro beats and to witness some serious Nuggin'.
