One is the Loneliest Number: Stories About Collecting

When: Fri., Dec. 9, 7 p.m. 2011
Storytellers include Peregrine Honig, Mac McClanahan, Marc Wilson, Linda Lighton, Flannery Cashill, Gina Kaufmann and voices from KU's Museum of Natural History. "Stories touch on the beauty and rewards of collecting, and on some of the unexpected turns encountered in the process, including theft, blackmail and the revelation of deep, dark desires." Video footage captures birds who not only collect things, but also house and display their collections. Photographs by Suzanne Hogan add an extra dimension to the program. Museum's galleries will also be on display, and there will be music by DJ Robert Moore.
