Capricorn/Capricorn Rising* (Dec 21-Jan 19): What cannot be denied? Your need for integrity as it relates to your need for approval can cause you to stay up nights, when there's no need. You cannot be perfect. You cannot control every outcome. First, you must admit that you have, ahem, needs. And then you must determine which ones are legitimate. Mars (desire, passion, primal self-assertion) has been in your opposing sign of Cancer since August 3. The good time you've been having has been ephemeral, a passing mood. You do not do well with passing moods (unless you have some planets in water signs). Fortunately, the more you've squared off with those who've taken advantage, the better. This upcoming cycle of Mars into Leo (September 18-November 10) will burn away most, if not all, of your neurotic insecurities about being perfect. Although Leo is fiery, which can unsettle your pragmatically earthy ways, they like to take control (which, btw, you do not mind after you've ascertained how much Leo is willing to offer, you sly goat, you).
Aquarius/Aquarius Rising* (Jan 20-Feb 19): Back in the day, I loved the rambunctious song "The Roof Is On Fire." We used to party, scream out the lyrics about not needing no water and letting muthafuckas burn! That's right up your rebellious ass. Twenty-five years later (and out of high school), it is better to know which MF's need burnt butts and which ones do not. Know that there may be some folks who need their asses heated and then cooled with some cream or lotion. In this scenario, you are the possible pyromaniac, pharmacist, nurse. You can even have a walk-on as the massage therapist. Point? Like Capricorn (read their message after finishing yours), you have an unerring instinct regarding when folks are poised to do MAD harm. You can either be dissociated or you can advocate for these lost, unheard, huddled masses. When you dissociate, anti-social behaviors evolve exponentially, but when you advocate for others, you bring the water ... and we all cool down. In Capricorn's message (did you forget already to read it?), it is that Mars in fiery Leo that I'm giving you a solid head's up ...
Pisces/Pisces Rising (Feb 18-Mar 20): Accustomed to telling you my secrets, here's another one: Rarely can I write without music playing in the background. Today's rendition has "You Are the Universe" by the '90s group The Brand New Heavies. The lyrics concern themselves with the ever-expanding universe, what you can be or do, based on what you believe you can be or do. "I believe in you (universe) and I believe in me," or so the line goes. Your beliefs sit on a precipice. You can choose to hang near the cliff of someone else's manufactured destruction or you can back up, get some real perspective. Beliefs are cool, but they can also be extremely subjective. Go on a reporter's mission and get the facts of what others are trying (and probably too hard) to get you to believe. You won't go over the cliff, if you relax first. "If you conceive it, you can achieve it" ... other lyrics, but given the wrong set of assumptions, you can be flying through the air without a parachute. And I believe you are better than that.
Aries/Aries Rising* (Mar 21-Apr 19): Knowing how you like to be first at anything you have interest, I am going to ask you to read Pisces' message before yours. Nah. It's my column, so there! I am waiting. Got the music theme, right? The bridge in "You Are the Universe" goes like this: "you're a driver/not a passenger in life/when you're ready/you won't have to try." Other than the part about not trying, you're all over this sage sentiment. However, you must learn when no amount of beating your head against walls will open the door; it'll just open your head. So, your $64k question is: How do you know when to be a driver and when to be a passenger? Passengers choose which car they get into (at least in this story). Drivers also know when to let their intuition tell them where to go (even with GPS). Trust yourself. Trust the Universe. I've even heard there are multiple universes. If we're contemplating the possibility, it exists in some dimension. Clear the air of unresolved stuff with your siblings, neighbors, cousins (or anyone who've spouted off half-thought-out truths because you were being too defensive). In this way, you can dream up some fun stuff starting on the 18th.
