Out of Time & Space Astrology

Scorpio/Scorpio Rising* (Oct 23-Nov 21): Old wives' tales speak to the veil between the physical and spiritual worlds being thinnest during your time of birth. Day of the Dead, Allhallows Eve and Samhain have their roots in this concept. Take your penetrating gaze and your long silences. That's enough to make us think you've got ghostly (or is it ghastly?) support. The current planetary lineup conspires to get you to be more upfront about why you go around provoking anybody you can. Let down a guard or two. This weekend, your soul's force will center on integrating the spirit of past pleasures with present ones. Return to the scene where orgasms abounded without guilt, shame or judgment. Imagine several more scenes. The thin veil? It can give you great subtlety of expression of any variety, from the profane to the sublime.

Sagittarius/Sagittarius Rising* (Nov 22-Dec 19): Body language and hand gestures work well for you, sometimes better than verbalizing what you want or need. Lao-tzu said, "Truth, that can be expressed in words, can never be eternal truth." That's eternal, timeless, and hopefully continuing to be outside of the auspices of organized religion. Let's face it. The last 2,000 years, persons enraptured with their connection to a higher being usually had to leave their daily lives and join a sequestered society, monasteries and convents. Your sign is made to search for life's true and long-lasting meaning. With inspirational Mars blazing his way through Leo, your need for life's ultimate wisdom has rarely been so necessary. Your truths come through your relationships, more importantly, what is not being said. It is more of a feeling, look or tone that communicates those more perfect unions.

Capricorn/Capricorn Rising* (Dec 21-Jan 19): You can enjoy your own company too much. In your solitude, you easily traverse the line between melancholy and depression. Let the Librans (October born) challenge your curmudgeonly ways. However, when there's fun to be had, gather up with a Taurus (May) or Leo (August). In fact, Taurus folks were born to help you slow down to smell roses and to suspend counting beans. Leos brighten your day, when they focus their sunny dispositions your way. But when you both want control, then fun visits another country. Have you ever had someone read to you as you get a pedicure? Combine a practical makeover with a creative and pleasure activity. In this way, you can appease the workaholic side that easily feels guilt with the earthy side that wants more.

Aquarius/Aquarius Rising*(Jan 20-Feb 19): Occupy Wall Street has your sign's name all over it. A decentralized revolution without a leader but based on ideals, OWS is more of a reformation and spotlight on the shortcoming of our nation's manner of treating those who markedly have less. Like the people of India who stood up to the 6,000 British with Gandhi, and Dr. King's use of nonviolence from that movement more than 50 years ago, the truth outs. Satyagraha is a Sanskrit term that loosely translates into truth, soul and force. Except that the force does not come from the 2nd Amendment. In your own personal life, you're looking for the truth, soul and force. You want to move those folks around you who have taken a rigid position on your ideals, getting them to think in a whole new manner.

Pisces/Pisces Rising (Feb 18-Mar 20): Shot like an arrow into your heart. Fortunately, the arrow wasn't poisoned, unless you call "blunt truth" poison. Your ruling planet, Neptune, has been retrograde since June 3. In another week, he'll turn around for the last time in Aquarius. Being your next-door sign, the water bearer holds some objective truths regarding your well-known self-destructiveness. However, with a little help from your friends, you have one of the best outlooks to get your life back on track, as it were. But you must, simply must, tell the whole truth about the mess you've allowed yourself to create. No self-delusion accepted. You can count on a Neptune slowdown to bring dreams to the surface. Like charity, self-acceptance begins at home. So what are some of your desires that would make a repressed person blush? Get to the source of what you feel is missing and what the desire wants you to fulfill. Honestly, life gets better with much less self-destructiveness.
