Leo/Leo Rising* (July 22-Aug 22): It is the precise and uncomplicated mixture of day seven, Imani (ee-man-nee) or faith, and day two, Kujichagulia (koo-jee-chah-goo-lee-ah) or self-determination, that comprise a life's mission of yours. You must believe in yourself to create something out of nothing. The more challenging endeavor is standing by what you've made without apology or excuse, even when we don't understand or accept it. I'm so sure that the Arab leaders looked at Tunisia with a jaundiced eye of disbelief until the revolution/reformation of Arab Spring came to their country's doorsteps. Worry not, those closest to you sometimes won't understand your mysterious ways, oh, you fountain of godlike spirit. Maybe, just maybe, we desire to perceive the seriousness of your intentions. That takes time, and the less focused you've been or the more histrionic, the less likely we'll alter our perspective.
Virgo/Virgo Rising* (Aug 22-Sept 22): Whenever the word "work" is spoken, your eyes can light up. It is so beautiful when your love light shines, and being useful makes your day. You have enough on your proverbial plate as it relates to day three, Ujima (oo-jee-ma), Collective Work and Responsibility. Like your sibling sign (Gemini, both Mercury-ruled), you must integrate faith into your daily routine. Aiding you in this task is Ujaama (oo-jah-ma), or Cooperative Economics, and Nia, or Purpose. Jupiter opens up foreign but prosperous pathways. Mythologically, he is the king of the gods, hailing from Mt. Olympus. Pragmatically speaking, he controls (rules) the largesse that naturally occurs when we pool our resources together freely and openly. Whether it's familiar or communal living, he hails from your ninth house of the "higher" or super-conscious mind, abstract thought, travel to far-reaching lands (or those close by who house folk of a different culture than yours). You possess visions that can be practically realized. Simply get to work (well, knowing you, it is the continuation of what you've already started).
Libra/Libra Rising* (Sep 23-Oct 22): You're like Austin Powers whose mojo has been lost. Umoja (oo-moh-jah), or Unity, has a root of mojo within it. Sure, it's different languages, but work with me. Mojo is that inexplicable mix of magnetism and electricity. You have the capacity to join with anyone you've got a mind to do so. It's the weighing and balancing that slows down your actual choosing, which freezes your mojo like a Panda bear. Once you locate your Imani/Faith, you start to exhibit more confidence. This self-assuredness doesn't have to come from your appearance; it can come from your ideals, your belief in something higher and purer. Paradoxically, you must look in the mirror and accept your appearance. These "first fruits of the harvest" (what Kwanzaa means in Swahili) begin with your realizing just how much you have to offer us, other than being a trophy or escort. Mojo is sourced through authenticity, an essential trust of what you are worth. If you must behave icily, model yourself after an Inuit (nose rubbing, anybody?). To demonstrate an alternative manner of affection hurts no two (or more) consenting adults.
Scorpio/Scorpio Rising* (Oct 23-Nov 21): You have a couple of extra refills on the collective and cooperative prescriptions. Therefore, day three and four steadfastly belong to you. Ujima (oo-jee-ma), or Collective Work and Responsibility, merged with Ujaama (oo-jah-ma), or Cooperative Economics, to comprise a healthy Scorpio harvest. And a fertile crop from you categorically means that everyone benefits. It's like you are the rain. Does the rain ever stop to consider where its water will aid growth? Hell, no. However, you must (no use of conditional may here), you must create - hello, Kuumba (keh-um-bah), or Creativity - your own resources. Once you have something or some service to offer to the collective, you won't be tempted to live off others, therefore lessening the collective worth. If you're waiting for the world to catch up to what your Kuumba is offering, work at something else to take care of your survival needs (period).
