Paddy O’Quigley’s isn't easy to figure: The lights are rarely on, but it's no dive. In fact with exposed brick walls, open floor plan and always-upbeat waitresses, this faithfully Irish pub is a welcoming place. It helps too that the walls are crowded with neon beer signs -- all of which are for sale, by the way, in case you have a man cave to decorate. The menu is a colossal selection of Irish and American standbys, and its Leawood location makes it prime for white-collar shenanigans.

The food is just OK but the service is the pits. 1st trip in, got billed for 15 extra drinks and it took 20 minutes to get my bill cleared up. 2nd time in, I gave a credit card to the waitress when I opened my tab and told her I would pay in cash. It took 40 minutes to get a very average hamburger. I paid in cash and found out 2 days later the waitress ran my card for $20 too. The Manager only gave me the run-a-round and refused to help. Had to get my money back through the credit card’s dispute process. MY ADVICE - STAY AWAY!
