As the name suggests, Paddy’s is an Irish-themed pub and grill. Situated among strip-mall stores in KC’s Northland, Paddy’s stands out not only for its size and stature (the entrance is preceded by gigantic brick archways) but also for its busy décor. Irish flags, beer signs and family crests are scattered throughout, and there’s a working fireplace in the joint dining-and-billiards room. Irish staples such as shepherd’s pie and corned beef are on the menu, along with Guinness and Harp on tap. But the big-screen TVs, NFL package, Megatouch machines and Bud Light remind patrons that they’re definitely still in the States.
