Pagan Worship

Civil rights have come a long way, but some people are still persecuted for their religious beliefs. Take, for instance, our peaceful friends the pagans. No more, we say! Come, make an offering to Freyja, the Norse goddess of love and beauty, at the 10th-annual Kansas City Pagan Pride Day. Included in the revelry will be workshops, musical performances, rituals, a charity drive and a silent auction. And rituals. The celebration runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the main festival shelter in Macken Park (1194 Clark Ferguson Drive, North Kansas City). Admission is free. See kcpaganpride.com.
