Party for Addison

Lawrence residents Shawna Davis and Jeffrey Whitenight start every day hoping they'll receive the phone call that could give their 18-month-old daughter a chance to live a healthy life. Addison needs a liver transplant. In the meantime, there are steep hospital bills to pay and sacrifices to be made. To get by, they need a little help from their friends — especially the ones who can host bumpin' benefit shows at the drop of a hat. In Lawrence, that man is Josh Powers (aka SceneBooster). Hear him spin his rare funk and soul records on the patio of the Replay Lounge (946 Massachusetts, 785-749-7676). Chip in a $2 (or more) donation for a night that also includes performances by fun-as-shit indie-rockers Fourth of July and the versatile, party-rocking DRI (Adrianne Verhoeven, formerly of the Anniversary).
