Like many north-of-the-river haunts, Pat’s Pub is a small, dark and neighborly watering hole. On the outside, the place resembles a tiny house; you actually have to open a rickety screen door to get inside. Inside, it’s dark wood paneling, long plywood tables and working-class locals drinking cheap draws at the comfortably worn bar. Old Busch lamps hang from the drop ceiling, daily food specials are on the menu, and the jukebox is a country-lover’s dream, with loads of Merle Haggard, Hank Williams and Patsy Kline ready to provide the soundtrack to your night.
