Patriot's Game

The world — including Americans, more now than ever — may be obsessed with soccer at the moment, but why crowd around a TV when you can enjoy this country’s original pastime, in person? It is America’s birthday, after all, and this is what she wants. The Royals are out of town, but the Northern League players are home. On the anniversary of our country’s independence, watch the Kansas City T-Bones wind up a three-day series against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks at CommunityAmerica Ballpark (1800 Village West Parkway, 913-328-5618). The first pitch flies at 7:05 p.m. Tickets start at $8. And there will be fireworks.
Fri., May 28, 7:05 p.m.; Sat., May 29, 7:05 p.m.; Sun., May 30, 5:05 p.m.; Fri., July 2, 7:05 p.m.; Sat., July 3, 7:05 p.m.; Sun., July 4, 7:05 p.m.; Fri., Sept. 3, 7:05 p.m.; Sat., Sept. 4, 7:05 p.m.; Sun., Sept. 5, 7:05 p.m.; Mon., Sept. 6, 1:05 p.m., 2010
