When it comes to steady expansion, Paul and Jacks is one establishment that has certainly seen its share. Established in 1948, it used to be a tiny, one-room hamburger joint. These days, the place boasts five separate rooms and an enormous back patio, complete with a stage and enough space for up to 300 spectators. And while the summer brings live local music and lots of outside-lounging time, the five indoor rooms fill up in the colder months. The bar is known for its chili, tenderloins and hand-packed hamburgers, so drinkers and diners alike settle in at the long bar (there are booths and cocktail tables too). Paul and Jacks is also a great place for business meetings; the private conference room is free to reserve.
