Penis Flytrap

Tuesday, November 11, at Balanca's Pyro Room.

See that name up there in bold print? Penis Flytrap. Now check out the photo. Creepy, huh? If you still need motivation, here are a few more factoids: Vocalist Dinah Cancer once engaged in casket copulation with Mötley Crüe drummer Nikki Sixx; the group's song "Party Time" accompanied boisterous, brain-eating action in Return of the Living Dead; Cancer hails from the influential outfit 45 Graves, a founding father of the ghoulish, horror-punk "death rock" scene; the band's stage show, with its go-go dancers and splattered blood, recalls the Pornhuskers' goriest concert harvests; and its Tales of Terror album cover disturbingly mirrors the gleeful cannibalism of Tom Petty's original "Don't Come Around Here No More" video, which also turned a blonde into an anatomically correct carved cake.
