Pickleball Intramurals

Pickleball, a low-impact sport for players aged 50 and up, is the fastest-growing sport in the United States, inevitably destined for arena crowds around which the blimps of various tire manufacturers orbit, players revered as gods, lucrative endorsement contracts and doping scandals. And you can get in on the ground floor every Tuesday at the Matt Ross Community Center. Described as a combination of tennis, badminton and table tennis, it's a two-player game involving a wiffle-ball and paddles.
Tuesdays, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., 2008
