At one time Platinum Jack’s was a family-geared restaurant named Maxwell’s Downtown Grill. These days, it’s out with the restaurant booths and in with the pool tables, dart boards and karaoke. The large space is tricked out with dark red walls, a lengthy bar and artsy sheet metal that covers the walls and pillars. But while the inside is popular, the real draw at Platinum Jack's is the 40-by-80-foot multi-tiered patio, where football games are regularly screened on a nine-foot projection screen. There are plenty of tables and lots of food and drink specials, and smokers are welcome.
