Pride Goes On

Gay Pride festivities began a year after the Stonewall Riots of 1969, but celebrations across the country see this as a time to remember the past while moving forward and reveling in the present. Kansas City's LGBT community and supporters end the weeklong Pride celebration today with the customary parade. Recent downpours and Rockfest shenanigans have moved the venue from Penn Valley Park to Berkley Riverfront Park (at Grand and Riverfront Drive). See gaypridekc.com for more information.
