Since 1991, Quinton's Bar & Deli has been holding strong on the northern most end of Massachusetts Street. Known for its bread-bowl soups and attractive waitstaff, this Lawrence bar isn't plastered with Jayhawk paraphernalia or big-screen TVs. Instead, it's a solid place to eat cheap, drink big and socialize with nonstudent locals. Their drafts, known as Big Girls and Little Boys (23 and 12 ounces, respectively), pair well with one of the 24 different varieties of fat sandwiches. A good place to take out-of-towners, Quinton's offers a quality downtown drinking experience without the Rock Chalk hullabaloo.
