Located on the corner of Washington and Southwest Boulevard, Rhythm and Booze is embellished with an interior of exposed brick, black chain-link fence, diamond-plate corrugated metal, and graffiti pieces by local artists. At first glance, this roughly urban space looks to be more suited for late-night PBRs and Jim Beam shots. However, husband-and-wife, service-industry veterans Jen and Rhythm Piatt hope that drinkers will stick around and eat from their scratch menu until 3 a.m. every night. The place is bound to get a little sloshy, given its free air-hockey table and strong service-industry presence. I want people to get off their high horses and relax, Rhythm says.
