You already know that the Burger Stand at the Casbah (803 Massachusetts, in Lawrence, 785-856-0543) has insanely tasty food. But were you aware that the restaurant puts on karaoke every Wednesday? Fuel up on your favorite burger, a side of fries and any of the Stand’s Wednesday drink specials — $2 well, $4 double well, $3 selected bottle of beer — before the heartfelt, drunken warbling begins. The Stand’s karaoke book includes classic rock, oldies, funk, reggae, and ’80s and ’90s hits. There’s also a different karaoke challenge every week; tonight’s is 50 Cent vs. Ringo Starr. Get there before midnight to see what that’s all about. Chris Hoffman, karaoke DJ and general manager of the Burger Stand, takes donations from customers who make specific song requests. The fun begins at 10:30 p.m. and ends at last call. Entry is free.
