Shark Bar fills the retro-beach niche in the P&L District. Year-round, bartenders and waitresses wear straw hats, flip-flops and very short shorts while serving up rum runners and Bud Light bottles. Its second-level location has perfect views of the KC Live! Stage, making it a good spot to post up and people-watch. For reasons unknown, Shark Bar is an LGBTQQ favorite. But gay or straight, anyone can appreciate the tropical mood, especially in the dead of winter.
