Kansas City rapper Reach is generally a sharp-looking fellow when he takes the stage, but that doesn't mean he's above stepping out in his jammies for a night on the town. The amiable MC hosts his first Pajammy Jam tonight at the Record Bar (1020 Westport Road, 816-753-5207), encouraging attendees to shine their finest PJs while boogieing to DJ Ataxic and DJ Skeme (plus guests). Reach says the idea originated with the film House Party 2, in which the crew throws a similar party to raise tuition money for the character Play after he foolishly squanders his scholarship check. Reach offers the following advice for the evening: "Wear something comfortable. Wear something sexy. Just keep your goodies tucked. There won't be any singles being tossed about. Good clean fun. But a little sex appeal won't hurt. That's part of the fun of it." Tickets for this 21-and-older event cost $5 with pajamas, $10 without. Women get in free before 10 p.m.
