Solo Carol

For some people, it just wouldn't be Christmas without A Christmas Carol. The Kansas City Repertory Theatre decided to give Scrooge a rest this year, but the Hemingway Gallery is watching out for fans of Dickens. The version of A Christmas Carol happening at 103 West 19th Street is more of a dramatic reading than a full-scale performance, and it involves just one cast member — Nathan Granner. Fortunately, the man has a big voice. The Kansas City native has earned national acclaim as a member of the operatic trio American Tenors. Find out whether Granner will sing a few notes during his performances tonight and Friday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 ($15 for students/seniors and $5 for children) and are available through brownpapertickets.com/event/89211 or at the door.
