The easy-listening dinner-show phenomenon has gained momentum this winter: Wide-eyed crooners and family-friendly bands have been stage-hopping all over the city during prime dining hours. For those who need a little more variety to unwind on hump day, there's the weekly Weirdo Wednesday Supper Club at Czar Bar (1531 Grand, 816-221-2244). It's no run-of-the-mill open-mic night. Amy Farrand (American Catastrophe, E.I.O.) hosts the showcase, which features three random acts each week. Tonight, experience the indie folk of Mary Fortune, the thoughtful a cappella of Cheri Woods, and the saucy burlesque of Lucky DeLuxe. "People can promote their upcoming shows however they want by performing these little teaser sets. See it for free at Czar Bar and, if you like it, pay to go see it again," Farrand says. Drinks include $2.50 domestic bottles and $5 martinis. The show goes from 7 to 9 p.m.
