Sonic Spectrum Anniversary Party

Robert Moore has been hosting Sonic Spectrum anniversary parties long enough that he doesn't remember what anniversary it is. Given that the fourth anniversary was last year, we're assuming this weekend's back-to-back shows will toast the fifth anniversary of Moore's outpost of commercial-radio cool. The fact that Sonic Spectrum is still broadcasting Saturday evenings on KRBZ 96.5 "the Buzz" is reason enough to celebrate; it offers hope to a city of teens who would otherwise think that the Ting Tings are doing something innovative. Moore also frequently spins the bands that will perform at this weekend's soirée. Friday's lineup features Be/Non, Olympic Size, Actors & Actresses, and the Dactyls, while Saturday's eclectic bill includes DJ Just, Dri, Organic Proof, and Cowboy Indian Bear. Here's hoping that Sonic Spectrum is around for so long that no one will be able to remember what anniversary it is.
