Headbanging through the night and raising infinite cans of PBR is one way to honor the end of 2009. But there's a more sophisticated approach: sipping champagne and nibbling fancy finger food at Musical Theater Heritage's New Year's Eve Party and Cabaret. The talent tapped for tonight's performance at Off Center Theatre (2450 Grand, Level 3 of Crown Center, 816-274-8444) includes some of the busiest actors in town — Karen Errington, Jessalyn Kincaid and host Tim Scott. Expect show tunes, drama and vibrato. The $50-per-person ticket ($75 per couple) grants access to a dessert bar, appetizers and a champagne toast. There's also a cash bar.
