Theres often a wait for a table outside this restaurants rustic-looking dining room, and the menu is neither fancy nor extensive. But if you love the Italian-American creation known as pizza pie, you can pay homage to it here in its original Little Italy form — with sausage and pepperoni — or in any number of ersatz incarnations. Theres a south of the border version, with refried beans and taco meat. Or a Southwest fajita number. Or a surprisingly good — and spicy — barbecued-chicken pizza, laden with pineapple, jalapeos and smoked bacon. The place serves excellent homemade soups and a no-frills spaghetti and meatballs. For mountainous appetites, there are eleven hefty sandwiches and big, fattening desserts. — Charles Ferruzza
