Surely you've driven past the Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center at 4750 Troost. But have you ever walked on the environmentally friendly trails or relieved yourself between the post-consumer recycled partitions in the restrooms? These features make the center the perfect spot for the Missouri Department of Conservation's Sustainability Saturday, a free, family-friendly event with green demonstrations (think beekeeping and rain-barrel making), an electronics-recycling drop-off station, and booths with materials on soil health and rain gardens. Better yourself and your environment from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. See mdc.mo.gov (and click "Kansas City Events") for more information.
