The Chariot/Flee the Seen

The Chariot/

Flee the Seen Flee the Seen has played local shows on almost every holiday, but the group has donned seasonal regalia only for its Halloween gigs, and even then, procrastination led to last-minute costumes. (In 2005, the quartet sported bulky bear suits because those were the only matching outfits remaining for rental.) Singer Kim Anderson says the band has no special plans for its New Year's Eve show — "Just the rock." Vedera and Josephine Collective will play sets stocked with unreleased material, with the latter act previewing songs from 2007's major-label debut. Atlanta headlining act the Chariot combines constant motion with relentless strobes, making its members resemble hyperactive holograms. Even without alcohol, this all-ages concert promises to deliver the city's most frenetic stroke-of-midnight spectacle. — Andrew Miller

The Chariot, with Flee the Seen, Vedera and Josephine Collective. Sunday, December 31, at Main Street Café.
